The Conference

The challenges in periodontology-related problems are increasing in terms of overcoming issues in the community that are increasingly high in terms of health care. Dentists who are periodontology enthusiasts will see this as a challenge that will continue to escalate. These challenges need to be accompanied by scientific quality improvement, value enhancement, and the latest technological improvements.

Periodontology as a science has never stopped developing itself: both studies of clinical care and basic scientific background of clinical decisions are always evolving. The periodontal treatment protocol is also increasingly refined according to clinical expertise and underlying research. The art of decision making underlies clinical decisions in treating patients is also crucial. Clinical decisions and views on the prognosis of care can also shift because technology is less invasive with predictable results.

Updates by experts in the periodontology must be in line with the rapid progress in the periodontology. The Indonesian Society of Periodontology (IPERI) facilitates its members to continue to learn and understand the latest developments in the periodontology. In conjunction with Annual Scientific Seminar of Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Gadjah Mada, IPERI proudly held the International Seminar in Periodontology and Periodontal-related Problems in Dentistry.
